?Dr F Batmanghelidj was born in 1931 in Tehran, Iran. He studied at St Mary's Hospital Medical School of London University. Immediately before the Iran revolution in 1979 he was engaged in the completion of the largest medical complex in Iran.
?Afterwards the revolutionary government of Iran decided to put him in jail and confiscate all his personal and family assets. To do so they leveled all sorts of accusations against him, and prepared to execute him. However once they realised he was useful as a doctor among the prisoners they stayed his execution.
?During his prison time he made astonishing discoveries of the power of water to cure many illnesses. Eventually at his trial involving 32 fictitious indictments carrying the death penalty, he presented the judge with an article on water treatment of peptic ulcer disease. His life was spared so he could continue his research.
?In June 1982 he was released from prison and subsequently escaped from Iran and settled in USA where he continued his studies on the curative effect of simple tapwater. He is now a renowned world expert on this subject.
